UpdatesA month till Christmas? WOW. - 11/13/08
Once again, yay me for taking much too long to update. Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a regular thing for me from now on. Even though I'm not necessarily busy with school, I have a lot of things going on, and I just haven't had as much interest in this site as I used to :( Don't worry though, I won't be closing - I just renewed my domain for another year :P I just won't be updating as much, because I don't have as much to update with. Anyway. I'll still be around. And I'd like to apologize to all my affiliates/friends for not being around more! I know I haven't been commenting...at all...but I'll try to get back on that ;)Here are a few updates of my life in the past month+, for those of you who care. Last week, I got my hair cut, and I love it. It's about 3-4 inches shorter, and I got side bangs! So it's pretty different. But I like it and everyone who's talked to me about it says they like it, so I'm satisfied. Also, if you're looking for some good books to read, I'd recommend Looking for Alaska by John Green(e?) (great book, but pretty sad too!) and/or The Russian Concubine by Kate Furnivall (?). The first is a story about a teenage guy who is infatuated with peoples' last words, and one of his favorite author's last words were "I go in search of the Great Perhaps." So this guy (Miles/Pudge) transfers to a private bording school in Alabama looking for his own Great Perhaps, and ends up meeting this girl named Alaska who changes his life. It's not what you expect, and I love the message at the end, so read it! The second book, The Russian Concubine, I am still reading, but so far it is amazing! It's about a very poor Russian girl and her mother living in exile in China during the 1920s, and the girl ends up falling in love with a Chinese Communist. Very interesting - I was never interested in China or Russia before I started reading this, but now I find them quite fascinating! :) So, those are my recommendations for the update. As you can see, I have a new layout. I was finally getting sick of the other one, and I wanted something more simple. I hope you like it :) Who knows how long I will...haha. I don't have anything else to update with today besides two lonely pieces of art, and not very good pieces at that :( I would have a little bit more - some design and art work from school - but I don't have any of that at home with me tonight, so I couldn't upload it. That will be coming later for sure, though. Here are the two pieces I managed to make. The first is an entry for Perfect Illusions challenges. I think I actually liked it - somewhat - when I made it, but now I realized what a piece of crap it is. But I wanted to have at least a few things to update with, so I'm posting it. The other piece is something I just threw together with shots of Taylor's Swifts music video "Love Story". It's a REALLY sweet song (much sweeter than this wallpaper at least xD), so you should check it out if you haven't heard it.
